About Lapfontein Whips
The first leather whip was plaited on Lapfontein Farm, Hartbeesfontein, in South Africa.
Small Testimony
Like all first-year students at University, an extra penny is well appreciated. My friend arranged an interview to be a waiter at a local restaurant. Apparently short khaki pants, knife on my side and flip flops wasn’t the ideal dress code for the interview… A week went by, waiting for “the call”, but
"NOTHING"
So glad that it didn’t work out because it forced me to think. I decided to approach a different angle by doing what I love, making whips (well and focusing on my studies).
The great part of students is that they love to be as loud as possible and what better way than cracking a whip. It's a
“win-win” situation; I have an extra penny in my pocket, and they can disturb the neighborhood.

Since 2011 I have been selling whips and are proud to say that my whips have reach 5 continents, performed on staged, and win competitions.
